Covid-19 Update – Pay as You Go Notice of Toll Evasion Violation

Starting February 1, 2021 Metro ExpressLanes will issue reminder letters for Pay as You Go Notice of Toll Evasion Violations not paid.  Customers will have 30 days to pay the toll amount plus the $4 processing fee.  Violations notices that remain unpaid will accumulate additional penalties and may be subject to vehicle registration hold and/or sent to collections.

To make a payment online please have your notice number and vehicle license plate available

Click on the link, Pay Now

Step 1: Enter your notice number, vehicle license plate, & click search

Step 2: Select the violation notices that you want to pay, then click Actions and Pay Now

Step 5: A summary of your charges will be displayed, click Next

Step 6: Enter the credit card information and click next to process the payment

Step 7: Confirm and click Pay Now

Step 8: A receipt will be generated for your records

Our customer service representatives have been transitioned to work remotely. This has resulted in temporary changes to the way we operate.

  • Credit card transactions and new account creations cannot be processed over the phone with a representative.
  • Credit card transactions can only be processed at metroexpresslanes.net or the automated telephone system.
  • Orders for transponders and Velcro will not be mailed out.

First and foremost, we hope you and your families are healthy and safe.  We appreciate your loyalty and patience as we all adjust to the challenges, we are all facing together. We are pleased to announce the reopening of the Metro ExpressLanes service centers in Torrance and El Monte beginning Monday, July 6, 2020.  Due to the complexity and fluidity of the situation, the reopen date is subject to change. We encourage you to check back here before visiting.

As we look forward to welcoming you back to our service centers, please be assured that we’ve taken several precautions for the safety of our customers and employees.

  • Hours of operation for the service centers will be 10:00 am – 6:30 pm Monday through Friday, and closed for lunch daily from 1:00 – 2:00 pm.
  • Face coverings are required for all customers and employees
  • Social distancing will be maintained. We will regulate the number of individuals waiting in the lobby
  • Plexi glass shields have been installed at the customer windows to foster physical distancing
  • Temperature and wellness checks for all employees at the start of each shift  

Customer service representatives are available to assist you over the phone 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.  As a reminder our automated telephone service (877-812-0022) and website are available for you to access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

As we shared a few weeks ago, to align with the County’s COVID-19 Safer at Home guidelines, we made the decision to temporarily close our service centers (walk-in locations) in El Monte and Torrance.  We will be extending this temporary closure until further notice.  We have remote representatives that are available to answer your calls Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our automated telephone service (877-812-0022) and website (metroexpresslanes.net) are available for you to access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This will ensure the strictest credit card security.  During this time, credit card payments must be made either on our website at metroexpresslanes.net or over the phone using the automated self-service features.

The news on COVID-19 is changing daily.  It appears that as a society we will continue to maintain some level of self-quarantine for several weeks to come. With this in mind, we have transitioned our telephone representatives to work remotely and continue to provide great customer service.  The remote representatives will be available to answer your calls Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Our Service Centers (walk-in locations) which have been closed since March 18th, will remain closed until April 19th in response to State orders. Due to the complexity and fluidity of the situation, the reopen date is subject to change.
